About Our Farm

Our story begins in 2012 when we got married and settled in rural TN on a little house up on a hill. We resided there for a few years and dreamed of someday having a family and settling in on a farm. We started out by doing foster care for a few years, something we are very passionate about. In 2018 God started answering our prayers and making our dreams a reality by graciously giving us a Forever Family through pregnancy and adoption of our twin boys! So we decided to also pursue our dream of owning our own farm. On a Sunday afternoon we were driving around and drove past ‘this place’ and it just clicked in our hearts, our love for this farm, but it was not for sale. However through a series of events, a few months later we were the blessed owners of the rolling 60 acres. It felt like a true gift from God.

We honestly had no idea what all we wanted to do with it, but dreamed of raising animals and have a little McDonald farm on it. Ultimately our desire is to have a place for our boys to grow up experiencing a rich, but simple life full of living closer to the land, helping care for animals, hunting and fishing and enjoying nutritious food. But most of all, a place to work alongside their hero and Daddy. Beings Dan mostly has done crop farming and these rolling acres were not suited for that, he began dreaming of what else he could do and uncovered the possibilities of raising animals on pasture. And guess what, our ‘God-gift-of-a-farm’ is absolutely perfect for this! We have plenty of woods, rolling pasture and even natural springs and they have not been ‘used’ for years, so it is in its natural organic state.  We grew up knowing how to care for animals and what delicious raised-right meat tastes like, but you know how life happens and we all slowly drift away from it for the sake of convenience….. Our passion is to return to an even better state of that, and allowing our animals the freedom to roam and eat on pasture as God originally intended for them in a healthy, happy manner.

We think you should know where your food comes from and the quality of life that it experiences! Our goal is to raise and feed our animals as naturally as possible, on good pasture with plenty of sunshine and exercise. The supplemental feed is an All Natural with No hormones & No GMO’s or chemicals.  We make sure to give our animals ample, frequently rotating pastures that are key to their diet and allows our land to remain healthy, vibrant and able to produce amazing flavor and nutrient density for you now and into the future.

Our goal is to raise all natural, pasture raised meat that we feel good about feeding to ourselves, our children and you! No more worrying that what you place on the center of your dinner plate could be filled with toxins. Food that is grown according to nature’s brilliant design, that not only tastes great, but is good for you!

Thank you for shopping local and supporting our small family farm. We appreciate you!

Happy Customers & Buyers

Everett says:

We got some chicken from Springhill Family Pastures. And oh boy! It brought back memories of my moms cooking! When I was a young boy at home we used to buy chicks and raised our own meat birds. My mom used to put a whole chicken in the oven and the aroma filled the house. It was delicious without any added seasonings. This chicken is easy to prepare with very little shrinkage when cooking. The taste sells itself.

Dale says:

Got chicken from here, great experience! Fresh meat, and much better than store bought. Did a whole one on the grill and talk about amazing! Highly recommend them if you want better meat.

Alana says:

My dad, Ed Ellis and I bought 100 processed chickens from here. Great, friendly people. Great communication. Very pleased with the packaging and processing. Overall great experience. But the best part of all was the meat. It tastes great and looks great. Much different than store bought birds. The color, texture and taste is by far superior to anything store bought out there. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
