Why is the Process so Important?
While we understand and respect the need and place for mass production, we all know the big box meats are not the best quality for us. The unhealthy, overcrowded feedlots do not promote quality of life or meat. The animals are not raised in ideal situations, not experiencing the glories of grass & sun. Stressful situations affect the quality and texture of your meat.
Sadly even your ‘organic’ and ‘free-range’ meats are often green washed. Have you ever checked into the qualifications they need to meet to be able to put that label on and raise their price? Organic simply means that the feed has been certified by a government agency to contain no unnatural fertilizers or pesticides. Cut a little hole in the wall, and it’s suddenly considered “free range.” Even if the feed house is surrounded by dirt and the chickens literally never go outside to act like chickens, this is considered free range because they have the “option” to explore.
We have discovered that allowing your animals to have a good quality of life, plus being raised on pasture can be nutrient-dense and clean, and tastes better than we thought possible.
We aim to stand behind what we do, and to bless all who eat our food, frolic in our pastures, and reside in our community. We try very hard to be a farm that is transparent and open. In short, you’ll find that all our animals never get antibiotics, GMO’s or chemicals. Any supplemental feed is completely All-natural. Happy, healthy, free animals equal healthy, nutritious and delicious meat. Please email us with any additional questions.
